This is a side branch of a larger series of pattern paintings.

This series addresses the interpreting process that comes with art, as it combines a few things that are deep rooted in the oldest parts of the human cognitive faculties, like pattern recognition and interpretation of facial features, while playfully referencing (Maori) tattoo’s, traditional war paint, or expressive facial make up for stage performance, and at the same time implying psychological sub-currents of various shape and meaning.

This original drawing has been fixed and is fairly smudge proof. It will be shipped flat, well protected in a reinforced box. It comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.
