Charcoal drawing on Moulin du Gué cotton rag with deckle edges.
This drawing will be part of a series of animal portraits. The ancient anatomy of the Rhinoceros fascinates me. Like a remnant of life before the last major extinction event, 65 million years ago. We are currently well into the sixth, and the Southern White -- ironically -- seems off the hook for now, thanks to extensive conservation efforts.
The work is on 270 grams Arches Moulin du Gué paper (cotton) with deckle edges.
This drawing has been treated with several layers of quality fixative. For shipping it will be covered with a protective sheet and carefully rolled into a sturdy mailing tube. Clear instructions for unrolling and handling will be included.
