This series puts a magnifying glass
on the interpreting process that comes with art,
as it combines a few things that are deep rooted
in the oldest parts of the human cognitive faculties,
like pattern recognition and interpretation of facial features,
while playfully referencing (Maori) tattoo’s, traditional war paint,
or expressive facial make up for stage performance,
and implying psychological sub-currents
of various shape and meaning.
